Creatine kinase MB (CK-MB) is an enzyme present in cardiac muscle with a molecular weight of 87.0 kDa. Creatine kinase is a dimeric molecule formed by two subunits designated "M" and "B", which combine to form three different isozymes. CK-MM.CKBB and CK-MB. CK-MB is an isoenzyme of creatine kinase that is most involved in the metabolism of myocardial tissue. The release of CK-MB blood test into the blood can be detected within 3-8 hours after the onset of symptoms. It peaks within 9 to 30 hours and returns to baseline within 48 to 72 hours. CK-MB is one of the important cardiac markers and is widely recognized as a radiological marker for the diagnosis of MI. The CK-MB rapid Test Kit (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a simple test that utilizes a combination of an CK-MB antibody CoA preparation and a capture reagent to detect CK-MB in whole blood, serum, or plasma. Minimum detectable level is 5 ng/mL
Allow tests, samples and/or controls to come to room temperature (15-30°C) prior to testing.
1. Allow the bag to come to room temperature before opening. Remove the test equipment from the sealed bag and use as soon as possible. Best results will be obtained if the test is performed immediately after opening the foil pouch
2. Place the test equipment on a clean level surface.
For serum or plasma samples: Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 2 drops of serum or plasma (approximately 50 pL) into the sample well (S) of the test device, then start the timer. See the figure below.
For venipuncture whole blood specimens: Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 2 drops of venipuncture whole blood
Add blood (approximately 50 pL) to the sample well (S) of the test device, then add 1 drop of buffer (approximately 40 pL) to start the timer. See the figure below.
For fingertip whole blood samples: Allow 2 drops of fingertip whole blood samples (approx.
50 uL) into the center of the sample well on the test device, then add 1 drop of buffer (approximately 4o'ul) and start the timer. See the figure below.
3. Wait for the colored lines to appear. Read the result after 10 minutes. Do not interpret the results after 20 minutes.
